UFEC together with the Catalan sports federations have called for the reform of the current sports Law which has been in place since 31st July 2000 (decreed law 1/2000). There has been no modification to this law in 18 years. It is an obsolete law which prevents us from confidently addressing the present state and the future of the sector. We want a new law that truly represents us; that promotes our values better and whose main objective is to drive Catalan sport forward. We propose a new law that improves the practice of sport and the management system surrounding it, appropriately adapted to the reality and the necessities of the 21st century.
